Our Presort Services Division (PBPS) has an immediate need for a QualityControl Clerk at our Atlanta, GA location. You will be responsible for checking the quality of mail for legibility, proper date, correct postage, endorsement and complete address information by performing the following duties:
  • Assists in organizing and separating the mail
  • Inspects Customer's mail for errors
  • Compares zip codes on the processed mail to ensure they match the tray tags, barcode line and the D&R Tags
  • Reviews themail and documents the results of the review in the Quality Assurance Logs
  • Supports the operators and pre-sorters by watching for larger amounts of rejects which could indicate that the matching may not be set up properly
  • Assures that the applicable MPTQM standards are met

Qualification

To be considered for employment, applicants should have the following minimum qualifications for this position:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Strong PC Skills
  • Ability to compare and read numbers and customer name and instructions
  • Understanding of the USPS regulations and requirements for processing mail
  • Knowledge of MLOCR mail compatibility requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 26 pounds with or without accommodations
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations
  • 6-12 months of experience working with the mail or USPS requirements
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions and work effectively under the pressures of deadlines
