Position Description:

The Marketing Specialist II for the Connecticut and New England Health Plans is the primary contact for Health Plan CEO and Sales Management Team to develop strategies and tactical plans to support new products and help drive Membership growth and retention. All candidates should be able to work independently in a self-directed way, travel for business events and meetings, and serve as a resource for others.

Primary Responsibilities include the Coordination and Management of various projects, including:
  • Work independently in a self-directed way.
  • Travel for business events and meetings.
  • Serve as a resource to others.
  • Key responsibilities include the coordination and management of various projects including:
    • Leading monthly Internal Marketing Touch Point meetings with Sales Management;
    • Execution of Broker and Employer Education and Relationship events, inclusive of strategy development, content development, and logistics;
    • Getting the word out on new products and program launches;
    • Copy writing for bi-monthly Broker newsletter;
    • Creation and ideation of state-specific Marketing collateral;
    • Strategy and implementation of local Marketing sponsorships;
    • Development of Broker Co-Marketing programs;
    • Compliance Communication Management;
    • Renewal Communication needs;
    • Communications related to Health Insurance exchanges;
    • Maximizing impact of advertising and media (including social media) campaigns;
    • Develop Marketing forecasts, estimate costs, and manage program/project budgets, inclusive of prepping invoices for processing;
    • Marketing Administration.


































Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of Marketing experience with a mid- to large-sized organization in a Project Management role.
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with senior management – (VP level and above). 
  • 3+ years of experience leading meetings and public speaking. 
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including an intermediate (or higher) skill level with the ability to develop and design professional PowerPoint presentations.
  • Superior Writing skills and a keen eye for detail.  
  • Demonstrated Critical Thinking and Analysis skills to solutions for business issues.
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Background in the Healthcare or Pharmaceutical Industry.
