About this job


The primary objective of the Supervisor of Clinical and Medical Management is to ensure Clinic and Worksite Wellness programs are delivered efficiently and effectively. This includes planning, organizing, directing, and maintaining curricula, programs, policies and procedures, new products and personnel. The position promotes and develops educational services to improve member's health and well-being, meet client needs, and foster positive community relations. This position implements and oversees the development of programs to reduce medical expenditures, provide education, and promote marketing and public relations for Health Plan of Nevada and Sierra Health and Life insurance companies. The position promotes and develops relationships via phone calls and in person visits between SHL/HPN Sales and Health Education Division and Employer Groups. Work on special projects related to Wellness and Benefit Administration for Employer Groups.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Supervise the clinic and worksite wellness program and other employer worksite education programs sold in Nevada.

  • Supervise health educators conducting classes and individual consults in the areas of chronic disease and health promotion at worksite programs.

  • Write and market proposals for new worksite wellness accounts.

  • Works with HPN Account Management Team on employer wellness initiatives.

  • Coordinates and develops clinic and worksite wellness programs.

  • Supervise department data analyst and provide direction and oversight on all data related projects.

  • Develop, update and implement standardized health education programs through curricula development, revision and evaluation.

Requirements


Qualifications:



  • Must have a Bachelors in a health related field (such as Dietician, Nutritionist, etc.)

  • 3+ years of experience as a health coach, wellness coach, etc or a similar health care related role

  • Supervisory experience in the HMO/Health Insurance industry, working with Wellness/Health Promotion programs. Experience in curriculum development, program evaluation, behavior modification and lecturing.

  • Knowledge of the field of health education and wellness as it relates to a business environment.

  • Knowledge of the health benefits industry in relation to all types of product offerings.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong business leadership skills.

  • Strong organization, personnel management, and prioritization skills.
