The role of the Digital Product Consultant is to enhance Optum's value proposition by executing on key market digital product solution strategies driving acquisition, improvement and adoption of products.  Utilize voice of customer, key market, demographic, regulatory/security and industry data to assist in the prioritization and execution of interactive capabilities.  Support our internal partners in developing digital value propositions across the Company. Owns the execution of the digital product leveraging multiple product and IT methodologies (e.g. Agile, Customer Insights, product lifecylce management).  This position is a stepping stone to strategic digital product manager.

 

Major Responsibilities

 

            Work with digital product teams to determine appropriate digital touch points for customers

             Support roadmap development for digital capabilities and produce necessary artifacts – solution development thru UAT

             Work with product leads and business analysts to aggregate data from various data stores to provide key insights into market dynamics and segments that provide the greatest opportunity for delivering value to our customers.

             Work with IT developers and SAs to determine feasibility and implementation of business needs (e.g. feature/function, modality, etc).

            Provide and coordinate day to day digital release schedules with Digital Release team including defect/issue resolution and external vendor portals and project management process for our secure sites

            Manage and coordinate site content inventory

            Develop strong understanding of the project life cycle including Agile methodology

            Effectively coordinate and communicate program/operational progress, status and issues with key stakeholders including peers, partners and leadership

 

Requirements

            Degree in business, marketing, finance or other business related field.

            Demonstrated interactive/digital product management or development

            5+ years product management experience or market segment role, execution and evaluation of product/program or equivalent experience .

            Proven ability to lead and excel in a heavily matrixes environment.

            Demonstrated ability to build a collaborative culture and relationships across the organization and with external strategic and distribution partners.

            Demonstrated ability to operate with the business unit leads.    

            Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive recommendations to execution

            Demonstrated ability to translate professional expertise and business goals into strong results delivering high-quality products and services in a systematic, integrated fashion; working closely with the business partners in the distribution and product management groups

            Proven ability to leverage resources across disparate functions in multiple geographical locations.

          Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse team and demonstrate a track record of meeting rapid-pace, demanding, sophisticated client needs.
