About this job
The goal of the technical writer is to develop and redevelop technical material to ensure that documentation is accurate and world class in nature. The technical writer will be responsible for writing, reviewing editing, transforming product manuals; the technical writer will also be working with engineers to confirm accuracy in installation, operations of inverter. In addition, the technical writer will be responsible for accurately documenting procedures to be used by the customer in the manual or supplementary documentation, and ensuring documentation is branded and referenced consistently and accurately.The technical writer will also create documentation for Global Customer Service to proactively serve customers issues, effectively communicate to manufacturing engineers the final documentation to be included with product and create training material as needed for respective product. Lastly, the technical writer will be responsible for working with product management to ensure documents are schedule for product release and facilitate any customer document requests, and working with engineering to understand the product and accurately communicate key differentiators/techniques in the manual that would be important to installers and users.
The Technical Writer should have the following qualifications:
Two to four years experience in writing for technical documents
An above average understanding of power electronics/renewable energy a plus
Strong command of English grammar
A good understanding of publishing design layout
Able to transform technical information
Strong attention to details
Highly organized
Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite-required, Adobe Create Suite-recommended, Visio-preferable)
Able to work with international team members, as a team or individually
Able to work within tight schedules to complete on time
Above average verbal communication skills, works well in a fast-paced, professional office environment
Customer-service focused.
