About this job
Candidate would be responsible for the design and drafting of engineered-to-order projects involving pressure vessels, piping or structural weldments and assembled packages. Project scope will extend from high level setting plans to detailed manufacturing specifications.
Candidate would be working from a detailed order specification in conjunction with a Product/Process Engineer to convert customer requirements into detailed engineering specifications, including drawings and bill of materials. Candidate would have to be experienced with the creation of typical component fabrication & assembly drawings, P&IDs, and PFDs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years’ experience designing and drafting using AutoCAD software, CADWorx, or Solidworks 3D modeling software.
- 3 years’ experience creating P&IDs and PFDs.
- Familiar with ERP software system and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) software.
- Familiarity with shop fabrication methods (rolling, welding, machining operations).
- Weld symbol creation and specification in accordance with AWS standards.
- Working with fabrication departments before and during assembly phase of projects.
- Experience with ASME VIII-1 would be preferred.
