About this job
Our client, a leading in the healthcare/medical industry, is hiring a Medical Billing Specialist.
There are 2 main job functions for this role. Conducts A/R and Billing.
On the A/R side: account activity on final billed claims by contacting government agencies, third party payers, and patients via phone, e-mail, or online. Continues collection activity until account is resolved, sent to Legal, or disputed. Responsible for maintaining inventory on desks with no backlog. Ensure daily productivity standards of assigned accounts are met.
On the billing side: Review charges, patient information, and insurance information prior to billing to minimize underpayment, denials, and re-bill attempts. Properly submit claims to primary, secondary and insurance companies with the appropriate Explanation of Benefits (EOB) attachments, if applicable.
Pay: $16/hr
Shift: 8-4:30pm
Qualifications:
-Medical Terminology
-Accounting and/or AP/AR experience
-Medical Claims background
-Customer service experience
