About this job
Our client in Columbia, MD is looking for a Credentialing Specialist to join their team.
This person MUST have at least 2-4 years as a Credentialing Specialist and someone who has experience working for a behavioral or mental health company.
This person will be responsible for:
-Perform professional verifications by following credentialing policy and procedures to ensure accurate and timely completion.
-Input accurate and complete data entry of all provider credentialing information in provider database system.
-Review and analysis of incoming documents to determine completeness of applications and contractual documents.
-Contact provider to inform them of missing documents .
-Obtain missing documents and forward complete applications and contractual document to processing units.
Candidates will be either on the customer service side of the position, calling a list of providers and receiving specific documents to employers. Other candidates will be performing various data entry duties, entering the credentialing information into their proprietary database.
This is a behavioral health company.
Qualifications:
*2-5 years of experience in a customer service, administrative, or call center environment.
*Must come from a health care background, preferably working directly for a provider.
*You will be asked to make 30 outbound calls a day for credentialing.
*Some data entry, they must be able to enter data quickly and accurately.
