This Internship is for Fall 2014.


How thrilling would it be to interact with and interview our park guests each and every day?  Our consumer insights team plays a critical role in the success of Universal Orlando Resort.  Universal Orlando generates guest satisfaction surveys on a year round basis, and we need help to provide project support to the Consumer Insights staff.  Our Consumer Insights Intern will be responsible for programming online and paper surveys for in-park research and will provide overall support to the analytical and operational teams.


Consumer Insights Interns at Universal Orlando are responsible for:

  • Testing surveys that are in development to suggest any necessary changes.
  • Reviewing live surveys to track progress.
  • Downloading, cleaning and preparing survey data for further analysis.
  • Attending project planning meetings and team meetings.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.



To perform the role of a Consumer Insights Intern successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must be an actively enrolled student for the Fall 2014 semester as a college senior or graduate student.
  • Minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA required.
  • Preferred majors include Business, Marketing, MIS/CIS, or Social Sciences.
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday; at least 20 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work from August through December 2014.
  • Must have moderate knowledge of SPSS and/or SQL, Excel, Power Point, and Word.
  • Must have familiarity with writing syntax or SQL queries.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Must have strong communication skills both orally and in written form.
  • Experience with data analysis using SPSS and office experience is preferred.
