Labor & Delivery Nurse - (LD RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 D Pay Rate: $27.00 - 31.00
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept:
2 LDRP
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit:
1:1 active labor, 3/4:1 with stable patients or mom/babe couplets
Additional Comments:
Rural LDRP OB unit. Must be able to function autonomously in labor/delivery and newborn nursery.
General job duties and types of procedures required:
Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, newborn nursery cares. We do not circulate for cesarean sections. Post op gyn procedures.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.:
Fetal monitoring, PIXIS, CPSI computer charting
Labor and delivery (LD) nurses provide care to women and their newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages. They provide support and monitor vital signs of the mother and baby during birth and deal with any potential problems. They may also provide support and education to mothers and their families after giving birth. LD nurses are found in hospitals, clinics and physician offices, and maternity or birthing centers.
Required Qualifications
OK to float to MedSurg
Active IA or compact state RN license
Active BLS card
Active NRP card
Min 2 years OB exp
Min 1 year L&D as well as pre and post exp
Fetal Monitoring certificate
