Pediatric Nurse - (Peds RN - Pedi RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 10 D Pay Rate: $28.00 - 32.00

This RN position is in the Allergy Clinic. We are a national referral center staffed by highly skilled and trained pediatric allergy specialists. Our areas of expertise include: allergic and non-allergic asthma, exercise-induced asthma, vocal cord dysfunction, allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, atopic dermatitis, food allergy, drug allergy, animal allergy, environmental illness, insect sting sensitivity, angioedema, acute and chronic urticaria (hives), auto inflammatory diseases, chronic cough, eosinophilic esophagitis, immunodeficiency disorders and anaphylaxis problems. RN will be responsible for direct patient care in a clinic setting and will also have telephone triage and care management responsibilities. Procedures in clinic include allergy skin testing, venom testing, food ingestion and drug challenges, immunotherapy and Xolair injections with patients of all ages. Excellent customer service skills needed with ability to prioritize and maintain clinic flow to optimize the clinic experience for patients and families. This position will travel to a Network of Care site to provide RN support with an MD as needed.

The role of the outpatient pediatric nurse (Pedi RN / Peds RN) is to provide comprehensive, age-appropriate care to patients aged approximately 30 days to 18 years in an outpatient setting. Pediatric nurses specialize in providing age-appropriate care for children with a variety of physical and mental disabilities and/or acute and chronic medical and surgical conditions. The Pedi RN also collaborates with the patient’s family to best promote healthful practices and disease prevention.
