The Small Business Sales Operations Specialist will be supporting River Valley Small Business Sales for employer group customers with 2 -99 employees. The employee will be responsible for quoting and installing new business. Candidate must be systems-, process- and operational-oriented. An ability to organize and prioritize, work both independently & in a team environment, as well as able to handle high-stress situations and tight deadlines are required. Candidate will be required to provide new business process subject matter expertise. Maintaining internal and external relationships is a must. Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsible for the daily support of the Sales function to minimize the administrative work of producers. Responsibilities include analyzing and reporting Sales data, communicating changes to Sales plans, providing knowledge about customers and competitors, communicating Pricing data, and managing the Operational logistics of Sales meetings and activities. Works closely with Sales and other functional leaders to develop and maintain the Operational infrastructure supporting Sales recruiting, Goal setting, Training and Onboarding, troubleshooting Order Processing issues and producer requests, and Sales-related Information systems and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Extensive work experience within own function.

  • May coordinate others activities.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in Customer Service in a professional environment
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, including the ability to create, edit and save documents and spreadsheets.
  • 1+ year of Keyboarding experience, in accordance with work volume and quality requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Degree.
  • Prior experience in Healthcare Industry.
  • Understanding of Sales processes and products offered by UHC.
  • Experience with the Broker community.
  • Knowledge of UHC Quoting and Installation systems.
Soft Skills:
  • Results-focused, organized, and analytical thinker.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
