Aerotek Commercial Staffing is currently seeking a Functional Integration Technician for one of our clients in Newark, DE. This opportunity is a temporary to permanent position on a 12-hour rotating shift. Qualified candidates must have mechanical, electrical and electronic experience, working with high voltages and repairing or testing electrical and electronic components.
Responsibilities:
> Assist in system electrical layout
> Specify improved electrical materials including wiring, connectors, PLC’s etc.
> Rework wiring harnesses as technical changes arise
> Create wiring lists, and convert to electrical drawings
> Perform I/O testing on systems in order to ready for startup
> Assist in system startup procedures
> Bench test electrical devices such as power supplies, battery assemblies, and PCB’s
> Assist in troubleshooting gateway computers, and ancillary hardware
> Make recommendations for electrical layout improvements
> Assist in monitoring system performance at sub system level
Qualifications:
> At least 6 years of related experience
> Must be able to work from PID and wiring schematics
> Must work well in a cross functional group setting
> Must be able to use electrical hand held devices such as DVM, and DMM’s
> Will demonstrate electrical safety practices including Lock-out-tag-out
> Must be able to work well with limited supervision
> Must keep a clean and orderly work environment
> Must have proficient use of hand tools, and bench top equipment
> Be flexible on shifts and working hours
