About this job

Job Duties
- Be a focal point and a process expert for disability and FMLA leaves for this work location (~4,000 associates)
- Closely and continuously monitor the leave process and recommend process improvements and/or the leave vendors
- Provide on-going education to both employees and the operations team about leave options and the rights & responsibilities of the different leave categories
- Interact directly with associates about their leave options and responsibilities and follow-up regularly on the status of their leave(s)
- Ensure employees and the business are aware of all available health and/or benefit resources
- Proactively work with managers/team leads, human resources and vendors on escalated issues to resolve for both the associate and the business
Qualifications/Requirements
- College degree but work experience may substitute
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on leave coordination and Workers Compensation experience
- Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, OSHA, Workers Compensation and Disability local, state and federal regulatory requirements
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under limited supervision
- Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel
- Ability to learn and apply company policy, internal HR procedures, and regulatory guidelines within scope of duties
- Excellent business writing and communication skills. Ability to interact at all organization levels
- Previous HR experience preferred
