Infection Control Nurse - (IC RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D
Responsible for coordinating an effective hospital-wide program for the surveillance including policy/procedure development, infection surveillance, data collection, analysis and reporting, intervention, consultation and coordination of Infection Control Committee activities.
The infection control nurse can be considered the first line of defense because he/she is responsible for identifying, controlling, and preventing infection outbreaks in both healthcare facilities and the community at large. To do so, the infection control RN must collect and analyze data related to possible infections and then take the necessary measures to prevent outbreaks and/or contain and control any outbreaks that may have already occurred. Infection control RNs are also responsible for developing and enforcing infection control policies and procedures in the healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
1.. CA license
2. 2 yrs Infection control experience
3. 5 yrs acute exp reqd
4. BSN
