Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse - (NICU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 D, 12 N Pay Rate: $34.00 - 39.00
This 84 bed, Level II- III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is designed with families in mind. They are equipped with the latest advancements in ventilator, thermoregulation, and monitoring technology. There is a dedicated neonatal pharmacist who is an expert in the medications, fluids and nutrition that ill babies need. On staff lactation consultants works closely with mothers and physical and occupational therapy help for babies is offered. This NICU prides iteself on a warm, caring environment that involves family in important decision making. If you are a compassionate and experienced NICU RN, ready to join a caring staff, this is the role for you!
The role of the neonatal intensive care nurse (NICU nurse) is to provide direct and specialized care for newborns needing close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions requiring surgery or therapy. Working in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with doctors and other healthcare professionals, the NICU RNs assist in developing and implementing a plan of care for high-risk newborns requiring high-technology care, including ventilators, incubators, or other special equipment or surgery.
