Summary

The HR Generalist is an integral part of the HR Operations team and is responsible for partnering on many human resources functions including, performance management, compensation, compliance and execution. This position works in partnership with the HR Business Partners to support their client groups in executing HR programs and policies. In this role, the HR Generalist will partner with internal HR Operations, HR Centers of Excellence, and all levels of associates across the various business units.

Job Responsibilities

Talent Management:

Supports the HRBP and business leaders in the management of the associate life-cycle from new hire assimilation through ongoing development, coaching, and associate engagement.

OnBoarding:

Assist with hiring process for all executives.

Organizational Change Efforts:

Assist with talent matching, Oracle movement and auditing and reductions in force.

Associate Engagement:

Assist with questions and administration related to the action planning process.

Job Reviews and Job Description Validation:

Partner with Total Rewards and business leaders to facilitate.

Manage and maintain the Talent Playbook, including adding new information and updating existing information.

Reporting and Data Analytics:

Develop and maintain various HR related reports.

Program Execution and Project Management:

Develop and manage detailed project plans that support business specific initiatives.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or Human Resources.

2 – 3 years working in an HR capacity or service related field.

Experience in a HR discipline such as training, recruiting, employee relations, or organizational development preferred.

Knowledge of state and federal employment law including EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA and unemployment.

Knowledge of compensation practices, benefits, and recruitment process.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a strong level of skill set in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint specifically.

Experience with a variety of HR information systems such as HRIS, Learning Management Solutions, applicant tracking systems, compensation systems etc.

The HR Generalist is an integral part of the HR Operations team and is responsible for partnering with the HRBPs on many HR functions including, performance management, compensation, compliance and execution. Talent Management

Supports the HRBP and business leaders in the management of the associate life-cycle from new hire assimilation through ongoing development, coaching, and associate engagement.

Assist HRBP in the coordination and preparation of all talent reviews, including data compilation, talent assessment administration, and follow up.

Compile talent assessment results into talent plan document and partners with HRBP and business leaders to complete and validate actions taken to date.

Ensure associates and managers are properly trained to use tools and resources for effective performance management and development; provide counsel and support to managers for performance development and improvement.

Develop and maintain talent database

Assist with the coordination and facilitation of the performance review calibration process.

Cascade goal worksheets and respond to related questions.

Partner with Talent Acquisition to coordinate interview panels and in some cases would include participation on an interview panel.

Assist HRBP with on-boarding plans for new executives.

Support HRBP with organizational change efforts, including talent matching, Oracle movement and auditing and reductions in force.

Partner with HRBP to respond to questions and administration related to the associate engagement action planning process.

Partner with Total Rewards and business leaders to facilitate job reviews and job description validation.

Manage and maintain the Talent Playbook, including adding new information and updating existing information.

Reporting and Data Analytics

Develop and maintain reports using reporting, analytics, and dashboard tools; reports include but not limited to TA reports, compliance training reports, salary history reports, and exit interview results.

Work with HRBP to provide insightful analysis of critical HR Data assisting with the recommendation and implementation of appropriate solutions.

Partner with EBS on ad hoc report requests from the business.

Assist with report enhancements, including adding missing information due to lack of technology platform integration

Audit DIV/DEPT list and partner with EBS and Finance to make corrections.

Program Execution and Project Management

Develop and manage detailed project plans that support business specific initiatives driven by the HRBP.

May participate in a variety of programs to assist with development and/or execution of those programs based on the needs of the business.

Support HRBP and L&OD team with the ACE program; identify logistics such as class size, locations, supervisor and coach selection, and leadership participation in all ACE events.

Support participants in the ACE program and work with business leader to support LDA development, performance management, and retention - Proactively work with Talent Acquisition on recruiting for the ACE program.

General

Respond to general associate questions and provide connectivity to the appropriate Centers of Excellence or HRBP for resolution.

Partner with the Employee Relations Team and HR Service Center to respond to assigned cases.

Participate in meetings at the request of the business to provide updates and training related to HR Strategies and Initiatives.

Create communications and presentations as needed to support HRBP requests.

Manage the HRBP SharePoint site and makes recommendations for streamlining structure and set up.

Create required templates and spreadsheets as needed.

Partner with Legal on non-solicitation requests and follows up.

Drive compliance to timelines and deliverables.

Partner with HRBP and HR COE’s to identify opportunities for progressive automated workflows.

Support the integration of newly acquired companies and assists leadership with orientation to HR programs, policies and procedures.

Support HRBP and participate in various projects such as annual merit process, annual bonus plan administration, etc.

Leverage strong relationships across the HR function and all businesses, sharing best practices and aligning vision to be “that” company.

Partner with HRBP, HR COEs and business on strategic and tactical HR projects.

Coordinate and support rewards and recognition program on behalf of the business and partnering with the TR and L&OD teams.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience

Driving Requirements

Travel required on an as needed basis.
