Material Movement Specialist moves stock between production departments. Shift is Fri 11:30p to 8:00a, Sat & Sun 7:30pm to 8:00am 32 hours total for the week
Position description The Materials Movement Specialist transports stock between production departments and warehouse or between shipping and receiving docks. Loads and unloads incoming and outgoing trucks. Locates stock in the warehouse and fills orders for manufacturing using a variety of powered lift equipment. Responsible for loading and unloading skids onto the vertical lift and using the elevator as necessary. Operates film wrapper and string tie as required. The Materials Movement Specialist uses a stand-up, reach forklift to perform their job functions. Completes paperwork and/or computer input required related to stock movement. May also operate paper, chip and poly balers to compress recyclable materials into bales. Requires High School Diploma or GED and ability to grasp, lift and carry product weighing 35 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Minimum of one year experience operating a stand-up, reach forklift. At least minimal experience using a mouse & keyboard with PC as well as minimal experience with touch screen input device. Job is performed in a standing and walking position approximately 95% of the time. Reaching, twisting, bending, repetitive hand/wrist motion and fine motor skills required 95% of the time. Frequently working at or above shoulder level. Must pass certification to use lift truck and power lift equipment. The warehouse and docks do not maintain direct climate control. Hearing protection is required in the production area.
