Essential functions of the position:


The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of targeted direct marketing campaigns to help to drive mail service utilization. We're looking for a strong direct marketer who brings experience leading successful campaigns and who can succeed in a fast-paced marketing environment.  The position will identify, evaluate and manage multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to engage cross- functional teams to meet deliverables and deadlines.


Primary responsibilities include email marketing campaign management and online Acquisition & Retention program activities across multiple lines of businesses. Specific responsibilities include:


Assist in providing vision, strategy and leadership for all digital marketing programs


Overseeing / project managing and executing line of business or marketing channel strategy including matrices for campaign development, managing timelines, providing instruction for accurate data pulls, production coordination, driving on-time deployments and analyzing results


Designing and executing tests that support key hypotheses and deliver actionable learnings that contribute to business growth


Become an expert in managing email activity and executing email campaigns within 3rd party tool


Partnering effectively with cross-functional teams to drive successful campaign execution – including strategy and campaign calendar development, creative / versioning / messaging, reporting/analysis, data / segmentation criteria, etc.


Developing presentations and other materials that outline project & test strategies including objectives, tactics & results

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required


5+ years of direct marketing experience, preferably in both online and offline channels


Expert knowledge of direct marketing tactics and principles including testing strategies, targeting / segmentation principles and analysis required


Knowledge of email best practices including subject lines, messaging; deliverability and CAN-SPAM/anti-spam legislation is required


Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities and deadlines, be detail-oriented and work independently as well as in groups.


Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills


Strong project management skills; ability to juggle multiple initiatives, organize & prioritize


Strong analytical and strategic skills. Must have ability to analyze historical results and understand implications for future programs


Innovative thinker capable of operating both in a hands-on/execution capacity (detail-oriented, conscientious) as well as a strategic capacity (asks "why")
