This position is in our Patient Centered Care Model (PCCM) team. PCCM is an innovative approach to changing the care delivery model in primary care. PCCM is one of several Population Health Management programs, such as Accountable Care Organization (ACO), Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) etc., that we offer. The PCCM team is part of a larger innovation group within UnitedHealthcare.


 


We are looking for an individual with a strong background in data analytics. The Senior Clinical Data Analyst will:



  • Analyze healthcare data to drive analytical support for operations, valuation, management, and practice transformation

  • Analyze healthcare data, which includes reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for operational and business planning

  • Assume responsibility for data  integrity among various  internal groups and/or  between internal and external sources

  • Communicate findings to cross-functional teams and stakeholders in the enterprise

  • Gather and prepare requirements to evaluate and demonstrate program effectiveness and efficiency; includes developing scalable reporting processes and querying  data  sources to conduct ad hoc analyses

  • Assist in the experimental design and testing  of innovative  strategies, policies and procedures

  • Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed

  • Works with less structured, more complex issues 

  • Serves as a resource to others

     


 

Requirements



  • BA/BS or higher in a quantitative or healthcare related field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Business/ Management or a related field) or Public Health Administration or Public Policy


  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint


  • Excellent written and oral communications skills


  • Ability to work cooperatively with others


  • 2+ years of professional experience working with data and analytics

Preferred Assets:




  • Intermediate level of proficiency in BASE SAS, SQL or similar data query tool


  • Experience performing data analysis and report development


  • Experience with health care data

  • Knowledge of experimental design
