We are very excited to be recruiting for an opportunity to join our team of professionals as a Registered Nurse (RN). Along with the support of the Health Services Supervisor and a team of managers, this position supports and provides 24 hour consultation to people living with various mental and physical disabilities in a group home setting and the employees who work at the sites. Description

REM Central Lakes is seeking a RN to provide nursing services, training (to include an occasional evening class and on-site consultation) and support to address the medical psychiatric needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, substance abuse issues, mental health disorders and/or emotional or behavioral challenges.

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older is required
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets insurability requirements as defined by the Company’s insurance carrier (the use of your own vehicle may be required with mileage reimbursement)

  • Proof of successful graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
  • Current and Valid RN License
  • Eligible as determined by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Department of Human Services.

  • One year of work related experience consulting to or providing services to people with disabilities is preferred/or, the ability and compassion to learn
  • Experience working with medically complex individuals and those who require physical assistance or the use of equipment
  • Other education and experience plus license as required by state
  • Demonstrated ability in areas of leadership, personnel, employee training, and public relations; skilled in written and oral communications

  • Knowledge and understanding of health assessment writing/monitoring techniques, and regulations

  • Other education and experience as required by state and local lisensure, such as CPR/FA, BBP, etc.
