BASIC FUNCTION
:


Construction Coordinator will oversee the workload of multiple Construction Coordinators. The Construction Supervisor will ensure all field operations are carried out safely, on schedule, and within the quality standards consistent with Time Warner Cable policies all awhile staying within budget.

DIMENSIONS:


Work in the local system office of a major communications company reporting to Construction Manager. This position has direct subordinates; is required to oversee the work of assigned Construction Coordinators. Ensure that all work performed by construction coordinators, contractors and company service personnel adhere and conform to Time Warner Cable standards.

NATURE AND SCOPE:


Coordinates Construction projects and staff. Uses strong leadership skills to effectively manage, train, and mentor Coordinators directly to meet goals and expectations. Create a culture of teamwork and demonstrates the value of teamwork through his/her actions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:


- Assists in preparation of yearly budgets, and analysis of current year budget

- Develops and maintains reports on Construction activity and keeps leadership informed of progress on a regular basis.

- Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with vendors, contractors, and public officials.

- Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, action plans and procedures, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of a project.

- Prioritizes projects to best meet business needs

- Establishes a work plan for projects. Assigns duties and responsibilities.

- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice to resolve problems.

- Supervises activities of project personnel to ensure timely completion of a project and that the project remains within the predetermined budget.

- Inspect work performed by TWC staff and contractors to ensure compliance with TWC quality requirements and specifications.

- Coordinates project activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant governmental and regulatory agencies. Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and requirements, including but not limited to OSHA rules.

:


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
:

- Ability and knowledge to proficiently use a computer is required.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required.

- Knowledge of project management, project budgeting, and project feasibility and analysis is required.

- Ability to analyze and solve problems in a constantly changing work environment required.

- Strong trouble-shooting and decision-making skills required.

- Ability to read and write in English and use arithmetic skills accurately to complete daily paperwork required.

- Knowledge and understanding of aerial and underground CATV construction practices required.

- Ability to take initiative and handle various tasks simultaneously while working efficiently, effectively, and independently under minimal supervision required.

- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment required.

- Ability to keep a professional appearance and conduct self in a respectable, responsible, and courteous manner at all times is required.

- Ability to work hours outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification required.

- Knowledge of state and local municipality codes and requirements preferred.

- Ability to read and interpret maps and blueprints.

EDUCATION
:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required

- Minimum 2 years CATV experience required

- Associate ' s degree in Business, Engineering or related field and 2 years CATV experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and CATV experience required.

WORK EXPERIENCE
:

- Must possess two years of construction experience.

- One year of previous CATV installation is required.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
:

Must possess a valid California Driver ' s License and safe driving history.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
:

- Drive a company vehicle.

- Type and read on a computer.

- Must be able to communicate in person, on the telephone, on two-way radio, and through written correspondence.

- Must be able to stoop, bend, push, and pull to carry and distribute materials to other departments.

- Must be able to reach, grasp, pull, push, and use hands for fine manipulation, and be able to use a variety of hand tools.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Sitting for long periods of time.

- Must be able to inspect various construction sites.

- Use Test Equipment as instructed.
