About this job
The fabricator will utilize MIG techniques and free-hand fabrication. They will:
-Take build of materials (BOM) and read blue prints to fabricate ag equipment which consist of 2-3 parts or up to 100 pieces
-use a MIG welder to fabricate metals from 1/8" to 1/2", some 1"
-weld in both flat, horizontal, vertical fillet and groove welds. Not a lot of overhead and some pipe
-possibly use TIG but they only have 1 bench for this
-Operate saws, shears, and presses for metal prep
-Finish end product
Test:
This is true free-hand fabrication and finishing so we're looking for a true print-to-part person. They need to be able to read 8.5"x11" schematics and follow a BOM. Mainly spray pulse welds on flat materials but could vary; turnaround time on a part can be 30 minutes or 20-60 hours; we need to see what their history has had them doing.
