Perioperative Nurse - Operating Room Nurse - (OR RN)
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $34.00 - 38.00
The Surgical Center at this facility performs more than 12,000 operations each year. Many of these procedures are done laparoscopically. The surgeons on staff here have pioneered new procedures in the region and led the way in advanced technology.Numerous specialties are seen in this OR, including Ortho, Neuro and Vascular. As an addition to this elite team, you can expect to work with fully equipped with up-to-date, state of the art equipment. This is a highly regarded facility that welcomes creative and innovative OR RN care givers.
The role of the perioperative nurse / operating room nurse (OR RN) is to provide care for patients before, during, and after surgery or surgical procedures. The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant or operating room director with additional training. Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field; scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field. Perioperative nurses work in every type of healthcare facility, including hospitals, ambulatory or outpatient surgery centers, and physician offices.
