What does a Geek Squad Operations Agent do?

A Geek Squad Operations Agent is a brand ambassador for both the Geek Squad and Best Buy brands. They quickly and accurately manage the inbound and outbound phone calls and successfully manage the escalation process with third party vendors and internal service center repairs. They manage shipping/receiving and perform basic repairs and software installations.

70% of your time you will:
  • Run the administrative functions within Geek Squad and manage department communications.


30% of your time you will:
  • Manage product shipping and receiving.
  • Perform basic software repairs/installations and light touch repairs to products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What are the Professional Requirements of a Geek Squad Operations Agent?
Basic Requirements:
  • 3-6 months working experience in customer service experience


Preferred Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in general electronics or computer repair
  • 1+ years retail or customer service experience
  • 1+ years experience diagnosing or repairing PCs or consumer electronics
  • Phone experience
