The Custodian is responsible for cleaning work facilities and maintaining an orderly work environment for DISH Network employees

Requirements

Previous custodial/janitorial experience preferred.
Previous experience with auto-scrubber, floor buffer, and carpet extractor is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of all levels within the Company
  • Basic math comprehension
  • Understand work related documents such as interpreting company policies and instructions
  • Utilize skills to independently resolve issues appropriately
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do
  • Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs, restrooms, and office space.
  • Empties trash containers into appropriate dumpsters.
  • Replaces restroom supplies and trash container bags when necessary.
  • Notifies supervisor when replacement supplies and equipment are needed.
  • Notifies management when facility repairs are needed.
  • Cautions employees on safety risks, e.g. wet floors, etc
