POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible to operate paint spray equipment to produce desired product quality and finish.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Apply coatings, such as paint, ink, or lacquer, to protect or decorate work piece surfaces, using spray guns.
Examine finished surfaces of work pieces to verify conformance to specifications and retouch any defective areas.
Make proper selection of lacquers, enamels or other special finishes.
Adjust air flow and paint flow to assure proper finish.
Move materials and parts to and from work areas.
Clean and maintain tools and equipment, using solvents, brushes, and rags.
Job Requirements
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Prior use of spray guns in jewelry manufacturing setting required.
EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
Demonstrated mechanical ability and experience operatingpower tools needed.
High school diploma or general education degree(GED) and m inimumof 1 year industrial manufacturing experience with spray paint technology.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Speaking, understanding and comprehending the structureand content of the English language including the meaning and spelling ofwords, rules of composition, and grammar. Speaking, understanding and comprehending the Spanish language a bonus.
MATH SKILLS
Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction,division, multiplication) and their applications
REASONING ABILITY
Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests andinspections of products, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Problem Solving – ability to review situation,arrive at cause and effect and make judgment to affect resolution managing 1-3variables.
Attention to Detail — Job requires being careful about detailand thorough in completing work tasks.
