Part Time Field Staff Needed
Position Summary:
RTI International is seeking to fill several field staff for the Making Pre-K Count Study (MPC). This important research study, sponsored by The Robin Hood Foundation and directed by MDRC, is designed to affect long-term outcomes for children by strengthening instructional quality in preschool classrooms. Field staff will travel to assigned schools to collect parent consent forms from parents in participating public schools, CBO's (Community Based Organizations) and Head Starts.
This position will offer an average of 20 hours per week from early August to October. Candidates must be available to work daytime, weekday hours. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience
Training
Field Interviewers are required to attend a one-day on-site training in New York City during the week of August 11th. Attendance at training is mandatory. Trainees must successfully complete training to continue employment on the project.
Pay rate starts at $18 per hour but will vary based on experience. Mileage reimbursed at $.56 per mile.

Job Requirements
- Have a minimum of an Associate's Degree
- Pass certification requirements set forth by the project;
- Be available to work, on average, 20-25 hours per week from August through late October.
- Have reliable transportation, either with a personal vehicle or public transportation;
- Be willing to travel reasonable distances to reach assigned sites;
- Have strong attention to detail;
- Be able to complete, organize, and safely store paperwork;
- Be computer literate; familiar with data entry into databases;
- Be comfortable working in a school setting, and in all types of neighborhoods;
- Have strong communication skills working with school staff and parents of preschoolers;
- Independently manage workload of approximately 5-8 schools
- Adhere to all project deadlines, and maintain accurate records of progress and administrative reports
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
Preferred Experience
- Experience working within New York schools
- Experience in school-based studies, particularly preschool settings
- Current security clearance to work in New York schools a plus
