About this job

Are you looking for a way to help your community? Is public health and children's nutrition something that interests you? Then it's time to consider becoming a Part Time Data Collector on a Battelle project.

Headway is looking for a Part Time Data Collector to work on Battelle's Healthy Communities Study (HCS)

If you ask the Data Collectors we hire for Battelle, they will tell you they love this position because it gives them an opportunity to engage in meaningful work. The work they are conducting makes a real impact on their surrounding communities. Many also love the ability to fit the part time hours into their schedule!

As a Part Time Data Collector you will make household visits to enrolled participants and conduct neighborhood observations. These participants are families that signed up within their local schools to help make a positive impact on the health of their community programs. Since these families are enrolled and scheduled prior to your first contact with them, as a Data Collector you will not be required to recruit participants or go door-to-door.

The information you gather for the HCS will be used to answer important research questions about how diet, physical activity, and body mass index (BMI) are related to community programs and policies.

As a Part Time Data Collector you'll work a minimum of 12 weeks (there is potential for additional work in the future). You will work primarily during weekday evening and daytime weekend hours, with some daytime weekday hours as necessary.
