About this job
A company in the area is looking for qualified welders for their first shift position. These welders will be working on multiple projects, but all steel. Train on 1st shift for about 2 weeks. 1st shift hours are 5am - 2:30pm. 2nd shift hours: 2:30pm-12:30am Monday-Friday with some Saturday OT. Typical work week is 45 hours per week.
There are 2 positions on 1st shift.
Core Process is GMAW (MIG) with Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminum. Candidate must hold a current certification in at least one of the following standards. AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6 and/or ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for piping.
This is a mix between job shop and production. The welders will have their own work bench and work on small projects.
