About this job
Client is looking for a senior landfill technician/manager level person to travel throughout GA & SC primarily, maybe some to AL & TN as well. This person needs to be very strong with O&M on Landfill Gas Extraction Systems
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
i. Conduct work tasks in outdoor setting which include, but are not limited, to LFG system construction, repair, and operation and maintenance (O&M) system monitoring;
ii. HDPE fabrication with extrusion and butt fusion techniques;
iii. LFG system operation and monitoring using Flame Ionization Detector, Photo-ionization Detector, Elkin, and GEM.
iv. Complete construction operations such as trenching, excavating, backfilling using construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, and backhoes;
v. Prepare daily field reports and project documentation (i.e., field forms or as part of a database system) in a legible, grammatically correct, and timely manner;
vi. Ensure that project documentation is correct, complete, neat, and consistent with the Company's policy and procedures;
vii. Interact with project personnel, including contractors, project managers and engineers, and assist in cultivating an integrated team approach;
viii. Assist in preparation of final reports or as-built drawings; and
ix. Observe and abide by policies and procedures outlined in site specific project health and safety, plans (HASP) and the Company's Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Online Manual.
The individual will perform LFG construction and/or O&M services under the supervision of a senior Site Manager and/or Project Manager. Performing tasks in other company practice areas will be required, including general construction services, environmental sampling, contractor oversight, or construction quality assurance activities, as needed. Ability to work independently or lead small crews on critical work items is a must. Tasks will be designed to develop knowledge, skills and abilities in these technical disciplines and the business services.
