Summary
Oversees all help desk functions to ensure quality support is provided to all Sierra Trading Post end users. Supervises help desk I and II employees. Provides level II support to end users. Manages our tape and disk-to-disk backup systems to ensure regular backups occur on critical systems. Manages the PC imaging program to ensure PCs can be quickly rebuilt as needed. Installs and configures POS devices such as printers, scanners and cash registers. Logs and approves invoices after items are purchased. Works closely with the Systems Coordinator to make sure that each device is using properly licensed software. Manages the Cisco VOIP phone system. Assists the Network Administrator as needed to maintain servers, routers, switches and other network devices.

Experience/Skills
* At least 5 year's experience in an IT technical support position is required.
* The candidate must have experience with Microsoft products such as Windows 7/8, 2003/2008/2012 server, MS Office and Exchange.
* Experience with F5 load balancers, MSSQL, Extreme Network switches, Cisco network devices, Cisco VOIP systems and Symbol Scanners are a plus.
* Must have excellent communication skills and be a "team player" which includes sharing knowledge with other employees.
* Certificate: Microsoft and Cisco certifications are beneficial
* Education: Prefer degree in Computer Science, IT or Business Administration with computer emphasis or comparable work experience.

Responsibilities
* Supervise, assist and train help desk employees
* Write performance reviews on help desk employees
* Provide level II help desk support
* Assist the Network Administrator as needed
* Configure workstations, servers, routers, switches, printers, print servers, cash registers, scanners and other computer related devices
* Develop documentation on Help Desk I and II tasks
* Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues
* Perform basic administration of users on the network
* Install server software/patches
* Assist in tracing software licenses
* Be in the help desk 24x7 on-call rotation
