PURPOSE/OVERALL OBJECTIVEThe Software Engineer position is responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, support and management of enterprise solutions at Time Warner Cable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, test, debug and support specialized web-based and distributed applications. Provide input, prepare and analyze technical documents such as product requirements, functional specifications, detailed design documents, implementation plans, risk assessments, test plans, and release notes. Provide business and technical analysis and support to our business owners, project and product managers and others as required. Show consistent development of skills and a solid understanding of the Time Warner Cable environment with your tenure.
The primary focus of this role will be in support of the company ' s SharePoint environment. Versions currently being used include 2007, 2010 and 2013.
Understanding of Social Media, communications, collaboration.
Customer Service. Teamwork.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/ YEARS OF MINIMUM RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Solid experience and understanding of modern ALM processes and methodologies.
Outstanding problem management skills.
Outstanding communications skills.
Configuration Management skills.
Ability to work as an individual, but knows the value of teamwork and understands how diversity and inclusion ensure critical success.
Familiar with performance management
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SPECIFIC SKILLS/ EXPERTISE
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/ YEARS OF MINIMUM RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate must possess one to three years ' experience with the ALM of web and database-centric applications and one to three years ' experience with web portal product development, XML, ASP.NET, and web services. Experience working with high volume web sites, enterprise-level systems integration, reporting (SRSS), databases (SQL) and workflows management solutions is a plus.
One to three years ' experience working within a 24/7/365 IT support environment. Must be able to analyze problems, solve them creatively and document the event. Must be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding communication skills capable of effectively working with both senior technical resources and business customers. Must be able to develop a strong knowledge base of products, features and services and understand how our customers use them.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/ AND OR CERTIFICATIONS:
Associate ' s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
