About this job

We are looking for team players who want to help us as we build our brand in the quick service restaurant industry! The Line Cook will be responsible for prepping their work station and executing customer orders. The Line Cook will also assist the next incoming shift by setting up their work station prior to their departure.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must possess the ability to comprehend and execute basic menu recipes.
  • Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards.
  • Ability to contribute to a friendly upbeat work environment maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
  • Expected to know basic knife cuts and understand safe handling of sharp utensils.
  • Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
  • Ensure availability of supplies and food approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation.
  • Must know how to rotate and store food safely.
  • Must display the willingness to learn and cross train in other positions.
  • Must be a passionate self-motivated food enthusiast.
  • Responsible for ensuring a professional appearance complying with uniform and dress codes.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Serve Safe Certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Experience cleaning a grill and filtering fryers a plus.
  • Strong team player willing to help out in every area.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for eight hours at a time.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
  • Requires shift work hours and reliable transportation.
  • Extended hours required when needed.
