I. Primary Position Purpose
This position is accountable for providing safe, high quality, and cost effective computer generated drafting supported by industry accepted codes and calculations for process, maintenance, and utility equipment and systems. This position enables others to have visual understanding of plant equipment, how it works and how it performs its intended function. Incumbents in this position are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the archived drawing database for their assigned areas.
II. Major Activities
Works with customers to develop drafting scopes of work for each task.
Works independently and with customers and suppliers to select and specify components and materials for assigned projects.
Provides drafting services that meet or exceed the customer's scope of work while fully satisfying environmental, safety, and health requirements.
Updates and maintain drawing archives within their assigned area of accountability.
Actively engages in learning opportunities to keep abreast of emerging technologies and their application.
Operate Xenetech engraver to create custom tags, and Labels.
REQUIREMENTS:
5 years drafting experience/ 2 years design experience in electrical, mechanical and/or civil/structural field
2D & 3D-CAD skills using AutoCAD drafting software / ability to read and understand technical drawings
Proficiency with MS Office
Problem solving skills / motivation to perform work and stay on task with little to no supervision
Minimum Education:
Associate of Applied Science (Must be in Design, Drafting, Engineering, or other related technical field)
Education Preferred:
Bachelor of Science/Applied Science (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Design, Engineering Technology, or other related technical field)
