SHIFT:
Variable 8/ED shift, start time can be either 6am up to 11am

Additional Unit Information:
15 Operating Rooms in Unit. Procedures per day: 45 per day. Average # of Patieints that RN's care for: 1 CST and 1 RN per patient.
Per Facility: will float to Main OR as needed. All age groups; Neonates - Geriatrics. Procedures that can cause Ethical Issues: YES- Blood products/transfusions, D&E.
We have an urgent need for 2 CST's
Need CST's with extensive open heart experience who are able to scrub the following cases:
" CABG
" AVR
" MVR
" PVR
" TVR
" DOUBLE/TRIPLE OPEN HEART PROCEDURES
" ROOT REPLACEMENT
" AORTIC DISSECTIONS
" BRING BACK/STERNOTOMIES
" LASER LEAD EXTRACTIONS
" ICD'S/PACEMAKERS, ETC.

SCRUBS: hospital provides, okay to bring warm up jacket

Surgical technologists work under the direction of a team of surgical personnel and assist in surgical operations as needed. Surgical technicians are responsible for preparing the OR, which includes setting up surgical equipment and instruments, as well as passing those instruments to surgeons during the procedure. Settings include:

• Ambulatory
• OR
• Outpatient
• CVOR
• First assist
• Labor, delivery, recovery & postpartum
• Pediatrics OR
  
  Required Qualifications
  1. Nationally Certified through NBSTSA
  2. Cardiac Surgery experience.
  3. 2 years of scrub experience is required
  4. 2 years CVOR experience
