We are building software products that will have a significant impact on the healthcare industry. This Scrum Master / Software Development Project Manager will work within one of the largest companies in the US, but in a lean "intra-preneurial" team in the Boulder/Denver area focused on agility, speed, flexibility and fun.  You will manage multiple Agile teams and work with scrum teams, technology partners and clients to deliver products and software development projects from inception to operation. You will have multi-points of accountability: too the product owner, delivering the program vision and roadmap; to our clients, delivering their specified scope on time and to budget; and to the scrum-team, proactively seeking out and removing bottlenecks and impediments.

The ideal candidate will have experience implementing web, mobile and API technology projects in lean, fast-paced agile environments and in Fortune 500 waterfall environments. Additionally, it is important to be able to translate the needs of waterfall-based technology partners into stories and iterations that meet or exceed customer expectations. Proven ability to embrace ambiguity, and translate that into an actionable backlog and executable sprints is a must. Finally, the Scrum Master should be able to assesses the scrum maturity of each team, and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable.

The Scrum Master ensures transparency through open and continuous internal and external communication. The Scrum Master supports and educates the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog. The Scrum Master works with the Product Owner to identify delivery dates and dependencies.

Requirements



  • Minimum of 2 years of Scrum Master experience for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience blending Scrum, Agile or Lean software development practices into larger Waterfall efforts


  • Minimum of 3 years of knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games


  • Previous experience as a team lead  


  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills

Assets




  • Experience developing software or products for the healthcare industry 


  • Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II)


  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc


  • Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team (Java, Ruby/Rails, etc.
