Looking for an customer service oriented superstar to join the Sheraton Denver Tech Center Hotel Front Desk team as a PM Front Desk/ Night Audit Supervisor.Job overview
The Front Desk Agent / Night Audit is responsible for: maintaining and promoting hospitality at all times; welcoming and serving guests in a courteous, efficient and friendly manner, both face-to-face and on the phone.
What you will be doing (as Front Desk Agent)
- Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible. (10%)
- Pre-register, block reservations and take same day reservations and when necessary future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts, and sell strategies. (10%)
- Handle guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies in a efficient and friendly manner. (50%)
- Resolve customer complaints; assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, check cashing, safety boxes, etc. (15%)
- Cancel room reservations according to procedures. (5%)
- Walk customers in a professional and courteous manner according to procedures. (5%)
What you will be doing (as Night Audit)
- Audit, balance and report on all food and beverage outlets' (e.g. restaurants, lounges, banquets, room service) cash and credit operations to include but not limited to checks, over/short figures/tally sheets, deposits, counts, house charges, promotional materials, postings, etc. and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely information. (30%)
- Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk to include but not limited to; room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc. to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed. (25%)
- Audit, balance and prepare, verify and report on Room information to provide rooms management with a picture of how they are performing. (20%)
- Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for preparation of daily reports. (5%)
- Balance and close all bank ticket codes, daily. (5%)
- Run night audit final after insuring all revenues are in balance nightly. (5%)
- Perform the duties of a Front Desk Clerk including express checkouts. (5%)
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent experience.
- Experience required by position is from three months to one full year of employment in a related position with this Company or other organizations.
- Requires a working knowledge of the Front Desk aspect of Interstate's services, policies or operations, and a general knowledge of the hotel. (Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.)
- Requires knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system.
- Ability to read and speak English. Second language is preferred.
