GBS Training Intern

Candidates for this fall part-time internship must be a junior, senior or college graduate up to 24 months post-graduation with a major in Statistics, Business, Communication or a related field.

Job Responsibilities:

• Learn a skill – starting with Global Shipping
• Work with UPS analytics team to learn the speech analytics tool
• Identify key phrases and define categories by skill type
• Listen to calls to identify key areas
• Categorize and build files of most frequent call types
• Contribute to the development of training curriculum working directly with UPS project manager or supervisor

• Analytics skill

• Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work proactively and independently with minimum supervision

Requirements:

• Educational Status: Junior, senior or college graduate up to 24 months post-graduation with a major in Statistics, Business, Communication or a related field. 
• Effective time management skills with the ability to direct simultaneous/multiple projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills which are essential in one-on-one and group settings
• Basic project management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft business suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic
• Ability to document and maintain accurate records
• Ability to handle highly confidential information
• Ability to deliver results and meet deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and follow through with various duties and tasks
• Good problem-solving abilities
