About this job
Individuals hired for this position will be primarily responsible for reviewing/scrubbing new member applications.
Over the past couple of years, these applications have become very time intensive and are up to 14 pages in length. The result of this is that many applications are being submitted that are either incomplete or have many errors.
These contractors will be reviewing the apps for these errors or missing info and then will send a request to the agent working with the member or will contact the member themselves to retrieve this information. Will be on the phone perhaps 5-10 times a day internally talking to the member or the agent.
In some cases, employees will be responsible for making calls to insurance brokers in order to request information necessary for updating beneficiaries' information. The most important aspect of this position will be for contractors to have a great attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and wear a lot of hats.
For now, this position is slated through January 2014, and there is potential for this contract to be extended past this date. Please keep in mind that this is a contract only position and so we cannot guarantee that permanent offers will be made, however BCBS is a thriving business and there could be opportunities in other departments towards the end of the contract period that any contract would certainly be considered for if they are producing quality work and have NO attendance issues.
