Sorter Associates Job Description
Sorter Associates will be responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting of recyclable materials on a moving conveyor line. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Inspect, sort and segregate recoverable materials such as aluminum, plastic, glass and paper
- Deposit recoverable materials safely and efficiently into appropriate chute
- Inspect incoming loads for unacceptable waster; remove unacceptable items as required
- Stack boxes and skids
- Keep surrounding work area clean and free from safety hazards
- Assist other sorters on an as-needed basis with heavy or bulky
Sorter Associate Candidates
- Sorter or relevant experience preferred
- Good manual dexterity and peripheral vision
- Able to lift or move 25 – 50 lbs
- Committed to safety at all times
- Excellent attendance
Pay Rate: $8.00 per hour
Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts available
