My client who designs, engineers, and manufacturers custom machines for the DOD sector along with some other industries is actively seeking to add a Mechanical Designer to their staff. This position is open due to another designer relocating to their CA office. My client has been in business for 30+ years and they offer a very stable work environment.

In order to be successful in this position the ideal candidate should be proficient in both AutoCAD and Solidworks (pro-e maybe acceptable) and have at least a couple years of relevant experience. Previous experience with; GD&T, Machine Design, ECNs all within working in a tight nit close work environment. On a day-today basis the Mechanical Designer will be;
- Creating 2D drawings and 3D models for fabrication, assembly, cable assembly, system interconnection drawings and proposal drawings
- Responsible for System drawings and electrical schematic drawings using AutoCAD
- Responsible for creating 3D models of parts using Solidworks
- Specify system components
- Responsible for performing some Engineering calculations
- Perform and follow ECN and Drawing Control procedures

Requirements

2+ Years of Mechanical Design experience, Proficent in AutoCAD and Solidworks, Machine design or rotating equipment design, If no Solidworks, Pro-E maybe acceptable
