About this job
Machinists will be responsible for setting up and operating one or more CNC Mills or Lathes. They will also need to be willing to help out in other areas of the shop, including grinding, Wire and Sinker EDM, and quality inspection.
Required Skills:
-Must have either completed a 2 year tech degree, or have completed part of a degree and have a willingness to complete this
-2+ years experience doing some setups and operation of CNC Mills and Lathes
-2+ years experience inspecting own parts using a micrometers and a calipers
-Some exposure to grinding, EDMs would be strongly preferred
PERSONALITY IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT - they are looking for people that they view the potential to eventually become team or cell leaders, trainers and higher level machinists
Could potentially turn in to a DP for the right candidate
These Machinists will be considered Grade 30 or 40. 30 is entry level, so requiring a 2 year tech degree and no on the job experience, or Grade 40, which is a 2 year tech degree and 1-5 years on the job experience. Grade 30 will pay $16-$19/hr, Grade 40 will pay $19-$24/hr.
