Quality Inspector
The Quality Inspector selects, counts and inspects samples using Quality Assurance guidelines while performing continuous, final, receiving and process inspection. Insures outgoing quality level is consistent with quality control requirements. Utilizes a personal computer to look up card designs and completes required paperwork and/or computer input on specific SAP screens. Utilizes math skills to calculate percentages of spoilage. Communicates inspection results and data to necessary personnel. Requires High School Diploma or GED and ability to grasp, lift and carry product weighing 20 lbs. frequently and up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Demonstrated computer experience using a mouse & keyboard, as well as experience using a touch screen input device. Must be able to type 30 wpm. Good math skills are required to understand percentages and must be able to operate calculator to determine percentages. May operate a hand lift jack to move stock short distances to an outgoing area. Good communication skills are required to communicate results of inspection to related operations. Job is performed in a standing and walking position approximately 90% of the time. Reaching, twisting, bending, repetitive hand/wrist motion and fine motor skills are required 95% of the time. Must be able to climb stairs between floors multiple times throughout the shift as inspections will be required on equipment operating on both floors. Hearing protection is required in the production area.
