Ingredient Logistics Scheduler - Full-time

• High School diploma or equivalent, some college courses and two years' experience preferred.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office and Feed Division software applications.
• Strong math aptitude and ability to perform mathematical calculations with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.

Requires physical strength and dexterity to walk, stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/carry 50 pounds. Vision, hearing and speech essential. Hand coordination to use computer. Job Description:

Based in our Corporate Headquarters in Richmond, VA you will maintain adequate ingredient inventory to assure continued production of the highest quality feeds at the lowest cost. You will also p roject, schedule and facilitate the deliveries of assigned ingredients.

• Supply buyers with weekly purchasing requirements and ship dates for each ingredient based on projected usage from volume reports and current usage history.
• Determines application of all orders/contracts between purchasing department, suppliers and mills.
• Traces rail cars daily for update movements and ETA's to the mills. Schedule inbound ingredients for delivery by truck on a weekly basis. Monitor ingredient inventories constantly to determine and assure an adequate position for continuous manufacturing.
• Supplies mills with all information (car numbers, ship date, estimated arrival date and weight) concerning arrivals of inbound rail cars.
• Provides multiformulation system (Brill) with ingredient availability for its least costing program.
• Resolves any problems between our mills and ingredient supplier/freight haulers regarding quality/quantity of ingredients and emergency shipments.
• Reports weekly to Ingredient Scheduling Coordinator any issues/problems.
• Incorporate sthe "Feed Division Behaviors", as outlined by the Feed Division V.P., into your specific area of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
