Currently recruiting for maintenance technicians in an Industrial Manufacturing plant in Del, Rio, TX. This position is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity. We are looking for candidates locally and in the greater Del Rio area. Qualified candidates will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshoot and repairing all plant machinery and equipment in accordance with blueprints, manuals, and specifications. Mostly responsible for performing routine mechanical inspections as well as dismantle and replace or repair defective components. Other duties include:
- Perform minor electrical work.
- Minor demolition work pertaining to facility maintenance and/or repairs.
- Operate maintenance machinery such as welder, metal saws, press, grinders and cutting torch, etc.
- Ability to fabricate items as needed for production or building.
- Connect hydraulics for mold valve gates and cores as needed in order to continuously support production schedules.
- Operate fork lift in accordance with safety rules.
- Assist with plant maintenance activities as required.
- Replacing motors, pumps on equipment
- Equipment and facility maintenance can include:
- Spray painting, brush painting, mixing paint, cleaning equipment, mopping floors.
- Use of hand tools, entering press area to remove foreign objects, debris/jams and or to repair air fittings.
- Operating fork lift for: loading fuel tanks, machine or facility parts, molds, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance experience in automation, refrigeration PLC controls, 3Ph motors and other mechanical areas.
- Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical concepts required.
- Ability to use rulers, caliper, and other measuring devices.
- Knowledge of multi-meter usage.
Performance Expectations:
- Must be flexible working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Must own tools to perform maintenance duties
Compensation depending on experience will range from $16.00 to $22.00/hr.
