Aerotek is hiring for an Outside Machinist position in the San Diego area. This is a full-time position, paying $14-20 per hour depending on experience and skill level.
Candidates for this position must have the following skills:
- 5+ years experience as an Outside Machinist/Shipyard Mechanic in a shipyard environment or similar equivalent experience from the US Navy as a Machinist Mate, Engineman, Gas Turbine Mechanic or similar rate
- Removal of main and auxiliary shipboard equipment such as pumps, hydraulic, steam equipment, valves etc.
- Installation of main and aux shipboard equipment such as pumps, hydraulic, steam equipment, valves etc.
- Alignments of main and aux shipboard equipment such as pumps, hydraulic, steam equipment, valves etc.
- Operation of main and aux shipboard equipment such as pumps, hydraulic, steam equipment, valves etc.
- Removal, installation, and operation of controllable pitch propeller and associated equipment, and shafting
