About this job
Estimate projects for the Transportation Authority and the State Highway Administration. Essentially will bid, buy, build, and bill all of the projects. Estimate new projects out for bid and manage them upon successful award. Handle negotiations with vendors and Subcontractors during the project kick-off phase, and allocated all manpower and equipment needs during construction to efficiently exceed budgetary expectations.
Client is a heavy highway specialty infrastructure contractors that specializes in signing, lighting, traffic signals, ITS, tolling infrastructure, utilities construction and maintenance.
*3-5 years minimum in electrical estimating
*Must have a 4 year bachelor's degree in construction management, or related field
*Must be proficient in electrical estimating
*proficient in excel for bids
*experience estimating Department of Transportation (DOT) heavy highway infrastructure work, such as signing, lighting, tolling, infrastructure and utilities
*Must be comfortable working with vendors, subs, suppliers, customers, etc
*Must be interested to eventually move into an Assistant Project Management or Project Management role with company
