What you will be doing

  • Purchasing materials for the hotel in the continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
  • Establish/manage/maintain supply levels for the hotel
  • Research prices/supplies of non-mandated items
  • Ensure compliancy with all govermental/company regulations regarding stroage/safety/sanitation.
  • Collaborate with other departments for the purpose of documenting the purchases of goods and services.
  • Distribute purchase orders, vendor information, etc for the purpose of providing reference documents for completing purchasing process.
  • Review requisitions and purchase orders for the purpose of ensuring completeness and accuracy prior to processing.
  • Analyze needs, purchase, receive, and store all the food and the beverages for the hotel to ensure quality products are consistently maintained, waste is minimized and costs are controlled.
  • Getting the best price while maintaining the quality/quantity of the food and beverages.
  • Maintain appropriate inventories at all times.

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook).
  • Current Serve Safe certification not required, but preference will be given to candidates that have or have had this training.
  • Must have one to two years of post high school education.
  • Require one to two years of related work experience in this type of Industry or related organizations.
