Description
The Team Member must be committed to upholding Zaxby’s standards and fulfilling our mission statement to “consistently create encore experiences that enrich lives one person at a time.”  This includes providing hot, made to order food and a warm, inviting environment where guest service is paramount.
Duties:.

  • Effectively communicate with management in a timely manner regarding scheduling needs, guest complaints, equipment malfunctions, and any barriers to meeting Zaxby’s standards
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines including personal safety, equipment use, and food handling and storage.
  • Ensure all products are stocked, maintained, and prepared according Zaxby’s standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Properly stock inventory using First-In/First-Out (FIFO).
  • Clean restaurant as directed by the management person on duty, including outside landscaping, building entrances, dining room tables, condiment stations, beverage station,  restrooms, kitchen area, storage, and walk ins
  • Follow Zaxby’s cash handling policy
  • Contribute to a culture of success by being a team player and communicating effectively with fellow team members and management
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.


Required Qualifications


Education: (Minimum formal education the job requires.)

  • High school diploma/GED, equivalent work experience, or is attending high school, or educational equivalent, e.g., home school or primary vocational programs.


Physical: (Minimum physical requirement to perform the job effectively.)

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Must have the ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Ability to read (orders on tickets, menu board, receipts, etc.).
  • Frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, cleaning and sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items.
  • Frequent washing of hands.


Other:

  • Zaxby’s and the team member will decide scheduling availability based on the restaurant’s needs.

Professional Certification:

  • Food Safety Certification i.e. Servsafe, Safe Staff
